SYNOPSIS

MARCOS is the story of a young Cuban-American man growing up in 1980’s Texas, a time and place where football is a rite of passage. Marcos is the high school star quarterback with the homecoming queen as his girlfriend, but he’s also a phenomenal dancer who happens to be gay – two other integral parts of his life he believes he must keep hidden from the world.

 

When he is recruited to play college football and meets his teammate Stephen, Marcos's picture-perfect life begins to unravel. He tries hard to keep it together, even joins a gay conversion therapy Bible Study, but finds that new love has a strong grip. He must make some hard decisions on his journey towards self-acceptance.
